Description
The day center of the society “Latvijas Kustība par neatkarīgu dzīvi” on Priedaines iela is for adults with severe or very severe intellectual disabilities and complex functional impairments (except people with very pronounced autistic traits). On weekdays there are meaningful daily activities, training in independence and self-care, communication practice, including through alternative means, sessions based on occupational therapy methods, educational and leisure activities, and support for families. The center takes up to 20 people a day; the service is funded by Rīga municipality, and visitors pay part of the cost of meals. The service is assigned by the Rīga Social Service.
