Description
“Atbalsts”, the day center of Latvijas Samariešu apvienība (the Latvian Samaritan Association) on Stacijas iela, is for adults with mental health conditions whose declared residence is in Jelgava. On weekdays visitors take part in creative activities and activities that train attention and memory, do physical activity, learn to cook, go on outings in the surrounding area together, can consult a social worker and get lunch. The center can take up to 35 people at a time. The service is assigned by the Jelgava Social Affairs Department based on assessments from a psychiatrist and a family doctor, after which an agreement is signed with the center.
