Description
“Saime”, the day center of the Tukums municipality social service, is for adults with disabilities. An individual plan is drawn up for each visitor, and on weekdays activities follow it: weaving, knitting, sewing, embroidery, crochet, woodcarving, making decorations from cardboard and wood and bead jewelry, and training in everyday and social skills. Visitors' work is shown at exhibitions. The service is free for residents of the municipality, who pay part of the cost of meals. To attend, submit an application to the Tukums social service with assessments from a family doctor and a psychiatrist.
