Description
The day activity center of Kauno Arkos bendruomenė on Pienių Street welcomes people with intellectual disabilities on weekdays. Here, at their own pace, they develop work and everyday living skills: making candles, soap and other handicrafts, cooking, tending the vegetable garden and learning to shop. Participants plan community events together, go on trips, educational outings and a summer camp, and take part in leadership days. About 18 people attend the center.
