Description
The dance theater of the Šilalė District Municipality Cultural Center was founded in 2018; its director is choreographer Aušra Danisevičienė. It is a contemporary dance theater that employs dance techniques from various genres; here, contemporary dance is understood as free, often improvised movement that opens up broad possibilities for self-expression. The theater’s dancers are young people aged 12 to 18. The company has created numerous dance performances and staged productions such as “Eglė, Queen of the Serpents,” “In the Pine Tree Tops,” “The Seasons,” “Coliukė,” “The Sacred Era of the Book Smugglers,” “The Fairies of the Hillforts,” “The Nutcracker,” and “Angels.”
