Description
The Zarasai Cultural Center’s craft collective, which has been in operation since 2003, preserves the tradition of weaving and sews stage and folk costumes. Four women weave, sew, and knit on a regular basis at the workshop, while several others contribute occasionally. The workshop offers individual and group educational sessions titled “Traditional Weaving—Folk Costumes” and “The Evolution of Crafts from Their Origins to the Present.” The workshop’s works have been awarded prizes in the “Golden Wreath” competitions.
