Description
The Marijampolė branch of the south-western center of Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjunga (Lithuanian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted) brings together people with visual impairments from the Marijampolė and Kalvarija municipalities. Branch members receive community-based social rehabilitation: they learn to manage independently in daily life and at home, develop occupational and work skills, and when needed an escort and transport are arranged. The vocal ensemble “Šviesa” sings at the branch, and lovers of books and audiobooks meet here. Session and rehearsal times are arranged individually – anyone who wants to join should e-mail the branch or drop in at Bažnyčios g. 19.
