Held at “Kauno „Šilo“ pradinė mokykla” for its own children only.
Description
“Šilelis” is the Lithuanian folk dance group of Kauno “Šilo” pradinė mokykla for children in grades 1–4. In class they learn the steps of Lithuanian folk dances and circle dances, dancing in pairs and in lines, and develop their sense of rhythm and coordination; the dances they learn are shown at school celebrations and events. Rehearsals take place in the assembly hall three times a week, straight after lessons. The group runs as part of the school’s after-school (non-formal education) timetable, so it is free for the school’s pupils; to join, contact the school or the group leader.
