Children's Lithuanian folk dance club “Juostinas”

The Lithuanian folk dance club “Juostinas” at Gegužių progimnazija teaches children the basics of Lithuanian folk dance: steps, circle dances, dancing in pairs and good posture. First and second graders meet twice a week, and the sixth-grade group has a longer rehearsal on Thursdays. The dancers perform at school and city events and take part in competitions and trips. Sessions take place in the assembly hall after lessons and are intended for the school's students; to join, contact the leader or the school office.
