Description

The Lithuanian folk dance club at Pakruojo “Žemynos” progimnazija is for pupils in grades 2–8. In class children learn the steps and figures of Lithuanian folk dances, develop coordination, a sense of rhythm and the ability to dance in a pair and in a group, and prepare performances for school celebrations. Rehearsals take place once a week – on Wednesday afternoons in the assembly hall – and are led by teacher Jurgita Lazickienė. The club is free and intended for the school’s pupils; you can sign up with the leader or at the school administration.
