EnglishAn ornithologist's talk about birds at your school
Description
The Latvian Ornithological Society sends ornithologists to Latvian schools for 40-minute talks on birds, with topics matched to the grade: common Latvian birds, birds through the seasons, migration, winter feeding, nest boxes, beaks and food. Younger pupils (grades 1–6) can have a hands-on lesson where everyday objects stand in for different beaks, and grades 7–12 can build nest boxes in groups. Other topics or a birdwatching outing can be arranged on request.
