Alpine skiing and snow tubing

A year-round indoor ski complex in Druskininkai: the slopes are kept at about −2…−4 °C, so you need warm clothes. The main 460 m slope is for advanced skiers, and the 150 m beginners' slope is for learning and for snow tubing (sliding down on inflatable tubes); in winter, when there is snow and frost, an outdoor slope, a cross-country ski trail and an ice rink are open too. Tickets are sold for 2 or 4 hours or for the whole day, and are cheaper on weekdays. Equipment and clothing can be rented on site (sets from €15), and lessons with an instructor must be booked in advance. Helmets are mandatory on the slopes, and children under 16 ski only under adult supervision. From the town center, the cable car is a convenient way to get there.
