Accordion Lessons

In the accordion class, students learn to play the melody and accompaniment at the same time, control the bellows, and read sheet music, while in the accordion ensemble they play together with others. Students in grades 1–2 are accepted into the elementary music education program; in the first year, classes are held once a week, and later twice a week. All first-graders take solfège, and participation in the children’s choir is recommended. For older youth, there is a 2–4-year recreational program, while adults can study in the adult program; instruments can be rented from the school.
