'Ventspils glassblowers through time' – a glassblowing demonstration at school
Description
A glassblowing master tells pupils in grades 1–4 how glass is made from sand, how the first glass furnaces appeared in Latvia in Duke Jacob's time in the 17th century and where glass is used today. A collection of glass figurines shows different shapes, colours and designs, and the master demonstrates how hot glass can be stretched and blown. The children can also join in.
