Description
In Rietavas, a Young Riflemen club of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union for younger students (ages 11–15) meets on the premises of the public institution “Veiklus Rietavas”. Following a four-stage program, they learn wilderness survival, first aid, topography and orienteering, drill and safe weapon handling (shooting with laser and air rifles), and there are hikes, camps and celebrations of national holidays. Students aged 11–18 can become Young Riflemen, and activities are free; to join, fill in the “Tapk jaunuoju šauliu” form at sauliusajunga.lt, submit documents and take the young rifleman's pledge.
