EnglishYoung Farmers' Club “Dzirkstelīte” (Daugmales mazpulks)
Description
Daugmales mazpulks “Dzirkstelīte” is a Mazpulki (Latvian 4-H movement) unit at Daugmales pamatskola for students in grades 3–9. Over the year, each member has to complete at least one individual or group project – for example, a research project or growing parsnips, whose harvest is sold in supermarkets together with the “Ezerkauliņi” farm – and present it at the fall project forum. Members also take part in community work days, fairs, the summer camp “Visu daru es ar prieku!” and the sports games “Zaļais starts”. Sessions are led by Zane Miķelsone and Guna Bērziņa; to take part, contact the school.
