Description
Ulubele is Latvia’s largest animal shelter, home to about 500 animals, and no animal is put down. Once you have a volunteer card you can take the shelter’s dogs for walks in the forest every day; the volunteer briefing takes place once a month on a Saturday at 14:00 and requires registration in advance. For groups the shelter also offers guided visits, volunteer briefings (from age 14) and work days.
