“The Birds Sang, the Elders Spoke” session – Samogitian Museum Alka, Telšiai, or at your school

After looking at the museum’s bird exhibition, participants listen to bird calls, compare eggs, solve riddles, play games and imitate birdsong in a ‘bird choir’. Through folklore – legends, proverbs, counting rhymes and weather lore in Lithuanian and Samogitian – children get to know living nature, and everyone receives a sheet of bird outlines to colour or decorate. The session is held at the museum, or the educators come to your kindergarten or school with all the materials.
