Speech therapy sessions for children

The speech-language pathologists at “Labie Logopēdi” work with children as young as 2 years old: they correct pronunciation, expand vocabulary, develop language comprehension, and improve sentence and narrative formation, as well as help overcome difficulties with reading, writing, and stuttering. First, during a 40-minute consultation, speech is assessed and an individualized plan is developed; sessions then take place 1–2 times a week and include homework assignments. The center also advises parents and prepares an evaluation report for the pedagogical-medical commission; registration is available by phone or through the website. This branch also offers group speech-rhythm therapy sessions (up to 6 children), in which rhythm, music, and speech therapy activities help develop breathing, voice, and speech fluency.
