Description
The “Atver durvis Betānijā” center (society “Nepaliec viens”, Drustu iela 36A, Rīga) runs social skills groups for children on the autism spectrum, including children with Asperger syndrome. Through games, creative activities, social stories, role play and video examples, children learn to say hello, share, cooperate, start a game, respect personal space and ask for help. The group for ages 4–6 meets on Mondays and Thursdays, and the group for ages 7–18 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 16:00 to 18:30. For children whose declared residence is in Rīga, the municipality covers the costs.
