EnglishSeniors’ folk dance group “Eglūnas”
Description
“Eglūnas” is a folk dance group for older people formed in 2018; it dances in pairs and in circles and keeps alive Lithuanian folk dance and the national costume. The group has danced at the World Lithuanian Song Celebrations, organises the national seniors’ folk dance festival “Susitikime prie Eglūno”, performs in Ukmergė and at celebrations in other districts, and its members also spend their free time together. Rehearsals are held three times a week. Seniors who would like to join are invited to contact the culture centre or the leader.
