English"Saulala" Folk Ensemble
Description
The “Saulala” ethnographic ensemble has been active since 1966; it currently has about 30 members, ranging in age from 54 to 92, who sing and dance. Its repertoire includes songs, circle dances, and folk dances from Rokiškis and the Aukštaitija region. The ensemble celebrates traditional holidays, organizes the “Aušta aušrela” folk festival, and hosts Senior Citizens’ Evenings.
