“Šalčios žemė” Scout Group

The “Šalčios žemė” scout group of Lietuvos skautų sąjunga has been active in the Šalčininkai district for more than 25 years and meets at Lietuvos tūkstantmečio gimnazija (the “Mes budime Šalčioje” club). The scouts go on outings and hikes, learn to survive in the forest and build a campfire, sing around the fire, and in winter and summer go to the group's camps “Sniego skautas” and “Mes budime Šalčioje”. Sign-up is through the school's form (separately for grades 1–4 and for grades 5 to gymnasium IV); newcomers take the scout promise.
