Description

Founded in 2015, the Šilalė District Municipality Cultural Center’s girls’ folk dance group consists of 16 dancers. The group actively participates in city and district celebrations, concerts, national festivals and competitions, as well as in Lithuanian, Tauragė County, and student song festivals. In 2019, the group won first place at the international “Baltic Amber Jurmala” festival in Latvia; that same year, it was a laureate in the national round of the “Aguonėlė” festival; In 2022, they won the Grand Prix at the “Baltic Amber Punskas Spring” competition in Poland, as well as first place in the regional and national rounds of the “Aguonėlė” festival.
