Lithuanian Folk Instrument Orchestra for Children

An orchestra for students in grades 1–8 who want to play Lithuanian folk instruments—birbynės, skudučiai, kanklės, and lamzdeliai. Groups are organized by skill level: a beginner group for grades 1–4 and three main groups for grades 5–8; the orchestra performs alongside the “Kalvelis” folk dance ensemble. Rehearsals take place at the KTKC (18 A. Jakšto St.) two evenings a week; applications and contracts are submitted to the center.
