Description
The “Lelija” folk dance troupe of the Vilkaviškis Cultural Center was formed in late 2005 from the former “Juventa” troupe. It is a group of older dancers—18 members, aged 32–65, most of whom are married couples. The group participates annually in concerts for district-level national and seasonal holidays, the Vilkaviškis City Festival, and farmers’ festivals. In 2021, they won first place in the national competition “Pora už poros” In Prienai in 2024, the group participated in the dance day of the Lithuanian Song Festival “Kad giria žaliuotų” and was awarded Category I that same year.
