Description

The origins of “Grija,” the senior folk dance group at the Grigiškės Cultural Center, date back to 1998, when the children who were dancing brought their parents to join them—and they have been dancing ever since. In 2003, the group was recognized as the best amateur arts group in Lithuania and received a “Golden Bird” nomination. “Grija” actively performs at Song Festivals, as well as at events in Vilnius and throughout the country; In 2012, it took second place in the national senior folk dance competition “Iš aplinkui,” and in 2021, it was named a laureate in the “Pora už poros” competition. The group participates in international competitions and festivals abroad.
