Description
The “Gluosnė” amateur theater troupe, formed in 2010 at the Vilkaviškis Cultural Center, received its name in 2015 to mark its fifth anniversary. The troupe consists mainly of energetic and creative women, and male actors are always welcome. The theater has staged more than ten plays based on works by K. Binkis, R. Skučaitė, A. Gricius, S. Kymantaitė-Čiurlionienė, R. Thomas, I. Menchel, and other authors. In 2018, the play “The Cemetery Club” was recognized as one of the best at the “Atspindžiai” festival-competition, and the troupe received nominations for best acting roles at the national “Long Live the Theater” festival. On the director’s initiative, the theater’s “Under the Willows by the Riverbank” project has been running for fourteen years now.
