Glider Pilot (SPL) Courses for Ages 14 and Up

Kaunas County Aviation Gliding Club Pilot School (LT.DTO.012) In Pociūnai, students can begin training to become glider pilots as young as 14—at this age, students are allowed to fly solo, and a glider pilot license (SPL) is issued starting at age 16. The theory course is conducted remotely from the beginning of January through April (4 times a week; lectures are recorded), while practical training begins in April with instructors in two-seater gliders; The program includes 15 hours of flight time, 11 of which are with an instructor; the flight schedule is coordinated with each student.
