English"Gastauta" Folk Ensemble
Description
Since 1981, the “Gastauta” folk ensemble has been performing songs from Rokiškis and Aukštaitija, dancing in circles, singing and playing sutartines on the skudučiai, playing horns, and playing the kanklės. The ensemble members have recorded a large part of their repertoire themselves during ethnographic expeditions. The group organizes folk evenings and calendar festivals in Rokiškis.
