Description
The community choir of the Latvian Association of the Deaf (LNS) performs songs in Latvian Sign Language – not only with signs but also with facial expressions and movement. The choir was founded after the “Homo Novus” festival, won the LNS Culture Award of the Year for its first year, and performs at LNS events and together with the youth choir “BALSIS”. Its singers invite deaf and hard-of-hearing people of any age to join: no professional skills are needed, just the wish to be together and express yourself in sign language. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at the LNS Community Center; to join, contact LNS.
