Description

The Zarasai Cultural Center’s Children’s and Youth Folklore Ensemble has been active since 2015. The ensemble includes children and young people aged 7 to 20. They perform authentic pieces, especially sutartinės (traditional Lithuanian polyphonic songs); the children learn to play traditional instruments, speak in the local dialect, and participate in educational programs. The ensemble organizes the “Zalvynė” festival and the “Sutartinių audėjai” sutartinės camp.
