Children's Lithuanian folk dance ensemble “Šėltinis”

The younger groups of the children's and youth Lithuanian folk dance ensemble “Šėltinis” dance at Jovaro progimnazija, which has folk dance (c) classes. Each class from 3c to 8c has its own rehearsal in the assembly hall, and the older students rehearse longer. Children learn Lithuanian folk dance steps, dancing in pairs and stage programmes, and perform at school and city events. Places in a folk dance class are given after an audition, held in spring during admissions to the first grade; more information is available from the school.
