Siguldas gaisa trošu vagoniņš

For more than half a century, the Sigulda cable car has been carrying passengers across the Gauja valley between Sigulda and Krimulda. The 1020 m one-way trip takes about 7 minutes; at its highest point the cabin is 43 m above the Gauja, and it holds up to 14 passengers at a time. Through the windows you can see the castles of Sigulda, Turaida and Krimulda and the bobsleigh track. Cabins run every 20–30 minutes, and tickets are sold at the Sigulda ticket office (Jāņa Poruka g. 14) and at the Krimulda station. On October weekends only one-way tickets are sold; round-trip tickets are available on weekdays. Children under 2 ride free; you can travel with a stroller and with a dog (a larger one needs a leash and a muzzle), but bicycles are not allowed.
