On the central beach of Lake Lielais Stropu in Daugavpils (a Blue Flag beach) a pontoon structure in summer holds a 25 m open-air pool with 4 lanes in the lake water, a diving tower and a children's pool, with a sun terrace with parasols and loungers next to it. All of it is free. The beach has changing cabins, a beach volleyball court and a playground; it is about 8 km from the centre, reached by trams 3 and 5.
