Lapmežciema pagasta muzejs

Founded in 1999 and modernised in 2019, the Lapmežciems museum tells of the work and daily life of the coast’s fishermen from ancient times to the 20th century through archaeological finds, fishing gear, photographs and documents. Its exhibition hall presents the life of the poet Imants Ziedonis, born in nearby Ragaciems, and hosts art exhibitions, while VR goggles let visitors join a fishing trip or fly over the gulf. Viewing the exhibition is free; guided tours are paid.
