Dzintaru mežaparks

A forest park laid out in a pine forest in the Dzintari district of Jūrmala, good both for active leisure and for quiet walks. Its highlight is an observation tower with 12 platforms, the highest at 33.5 m: from there you can see the pine treetops and the sea, and climbing it is free. The park has three playgrounds for children of different ages, paths for rollerbladers and pedestrians, a skatepark, street basketball courts, two cafés, restrooms and parking lots. From spring to fall, separately paid adventure and net parks are open, and in winter the park is lit up as a Park of Lights and a cross-country ski trail is laid. Admission is free, and the park is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00 all year round.
