Description
A four-part educational program about bread: In the ethnography hall, visitors learn about a traditional Aukštaitian farmstead and customs honoring bread; they also learn a playful sutartinė (traditional polyphonic song). In the old household hall, they examine tools used for grinding grain, leavening, and baking bread, and solve riddles. Later, participants taste the bread and choose the tastiest one, and the session concludes with a discussion about the sacred nature of bread. The program is suitable for children, teenagers, and adults and lasts one hour. The price is €5 per participant for groups of 10 to 25 people.
