Description
The Smilgiai folk music band “Lakštupė” has been active since 1996. The group sings songs that their parents, grandparents, and neighbors used to sing, often in the local dialect; It currently consists of six members. The band performs at events organized by the Biržai Cultural Center, at city festivals, and at community gatherings in Smilgiai and the surrounding villages. The band is led by Danguolė Plentauskienė.
