Description
The Obelaukių amateur theater group “Obela” was founded in November 2025. It features local residents—teachers, drivers, medical professionals, and students—who rehearse in the evenings and develop their roles in the productions. The theater was founded by artistic director Kristina Šimonytė-Christensen, who also leads the troupe and directs the productions. Every September, the troupe invites amateur theater groups and audiences to the national festival “Laukinė obelis.”
