EnglishMusic Department for Children
Description
At the music department of the Vladas Jakubėnas Art School in Biržai, children learn to play the piano, violin, accordion, kanklės, flute, clarinet, saxophone, or brass instruments, or choose to sing in a choir; They also study solfège. Students in grades 1–8 participate in the long-term program, while those who wish to learn just one instrument or just to sing can choose the one-year amateur program. Students perform in the school’s ensembles—the children’s and youth choirs, the wind orchestra, and the violin and accordion ensembles. Lessons take place after classes at the general education school, from 1:10 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The fee is €26 per month; the recreational program costs €20 per month.
